Iranian Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: 'The Islamic Republic of Iran emphasizes that the future arrangements for managing traffic in the Strait of Hormuz must be made in consultation between the two coastal countries, taking into account the developments of the past few months, particularly the US-Israeli imposed war and its security implications for shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. Oman and Iran agreed to continue discussions at the political and technical-legal levels to reach a common understanding regarding ensuring the security of shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. It should be noted that a delegation from the government of Qatar was present during part of these discussions, as one of the regional countries that has also played a mediating role in the US-Iran negotiations in recent months.'
