China has released a report titled "A New Critique of the South China Sea Arbitration Award." It says the so-called "award" has very limited practical influence on state practice worldwide, with academics widely criticizing its legal reasoning. The report was unveiled at a roundtable dialogue on the South China Sea held in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on Monday. The core purpose is to unveil major flaws of the award in three aspects: legal interpretation and application, factual findings and evidence assessment.
