The passage through the Strait of Hormuz should be properly handled, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said on Monday. Lin made the remarks during a regular media briefing in response to a question related to Iran's announcement of the closure of the Strait of Hormuz in the early hours of July 12 (local time), citing unsafe conditions caused by illegal foreign interference.
