A roundtable dialogue on security in the South China Sea was held in south China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on Monday.

Representatives and experts from the legal community and scholars from various countries and regions attended the event.

During the dialogue, a report titled "New Critique of the South China Sea Arbitration Award" was released, once again revealing major fallacies in the "award" regarding legal interpretation and application, the determination of facts, and the assessment of evidence.

The report aims to enable relevant countries – both within and outside the region – to clearly recognize the true nature and harmful consequences of the "award."

It demonstrates that China's stance of "not accepting any claims or actions based on the 'award'" is a just and legitimate move to uphold its rights and claims in the South China Sea, safeguard peace and stability, and defend the international rule of law.
