China's summer tourism wave: Cool destinations, unique experiences

As the mercury rises across China, the country's summer tourism destinations are gaining popularity, showcasing diverse and vibrant travel experiences.

Tianmen Mountain, located in Zhangjiajie, central China's Hunan Province, stands at an altitude of over 1,500 meters and has welcomed an average of 10,000 visitors a day in July thanks to its cool climate and spectacular scenery.

Wumeng grassland scenic area of Liupanshui City, southwest China's Guizhou Province, sits 2,000 meters above sea level and boasts an average summer temperature of 17 degrees Celsius, attracting visitors who enjoy breathtaking views and relaxing vibes.

Meanwhile, Shilin Village in Xiuwen County, southwest China's Guizhou Province, welcomes summer travelers with unique ethnic experiences, including traditional welcome ceremonies, local cuisine and bonfire gatherings.
