ICE officer fatally shoots motorist in Maine, protesters hold vigil

A federal immigration officer fatally shot a motorist in Maine on Monday, marking the second deadly use of force by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in a week and at least the ninth since President Donald Trump launched his immigration crackdown.

Immigrant rights groups identified the victim as a 26-year-old native of Colombia.

Dozens of demonstrators protesting ICE and President Trump's immigration crackdown held a walking vigil in Biddeford on Monday evening.
