Violence has continued in Gaza despite the ceasefire. The death toll has reached 1,110 since the truce took effect in October 2025, Gaza-based health authorities said on Tuesday.
A Palestinian mother was left devastated when her only surviving son, eight-year-old Mu'taz, was shot dead while playing inside a tent south of al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip. His father and brother had been killed in an Israeli air strike a year earlier.
