The 2026 World AI Conference and High-Level Meeting on Global AI Governance will be held in Shanghai this Friday. This year's theme is "Intelligent Partners, Co-create the Future." We spoke to Zeng Yi, Wu Yuzhang chair professor at Gaoling School of AI at Renmin University of China. He is also a member of the UN's AI Advisory Body. Zeng says AI should remain a tool that enhances human capabilities, not replaces them, and that its rise offers an opportunity to rethink the future of work.
