Danish DJ and music producer HEDEGAARD traveled across western China with Feng Xiaolou and the documentary team of Melodies of the West, capturing sounds from landscapes, villages and everyday life. From folk instruments and traditional singing to natural ambience and local rhythms, the journey captures the first notes of a cross-cultural musical dialogue between China and the world. Co-created by the Western China International Communication Organization (WCICO) and HEDEGAARD, the documentary premieres globally on July 27, with new episodes released every two days.
