At least five people were killed and four others seriously injured after a sport utility vehicle crashed into a parked truck on a toll road in Indonesia's East Java province late Wednesday, local police said on Thursday.
Police told local media that a Honda CR-V was traveling from Malang to Surabaya when it reportedly veered onto the hard shoulder after the driver lost concentration, struck a guardrail and then crashed into the rear of a stationary truck.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident. Driver fatigue and loss of concentration are among the suspected factors.
