Damage from US air strikes overnight into Friday was visible across Iran's southern Hormozgan province.
The strikes, which targeted bridges, killed at least seven people, according to Iranian state television.
The attacks hit Bandar Khamir, a coastal city near the Strait of Hormuz.
The strikes on highway and railway bridges appeared to be aimed at severing Bandar Abbas, Iran's main port, from road links to the country's central region and onward to Tehran, the capital.
