We Talk: New York locals share impressions of Chinese people

Global Stringer

China is now viewed more positively than the US in many countries around the world, BBC reported on July 16, citing a new study by the Pew Research Center. It is the first time the organization has recorded such results.

CGTN Stringer hit the streets of New York and spoke to young locals about their impressions of China. An interviewee, Julia Applebrough, said that all the Chinese people she has met are extremely diligent and intelligent. She said she believes that the current policies of the US government run counter to its vision of attracting global talents and, in the long run, will only harm the United States itself.
