Zoon Ahmed Khan, a research fellow from the Center for China and Globalization, pointed out that in the previous century, European colonial forces used the media to manipulate public opinion and serve their colonial interests. She emphasized that China has made it clear that it is not going to tolerate such propaganda campaigns that undermine ethnic unity and aim to split the country.
