Thousands of university students protested outside India's Parliament in New Delhi on Monday, demanding action over paper leaks and the resignation of federal Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Protesters cited issues with the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for undergraduate medical admissions. Earlier this year, the exam was canceled and reorganized after a widespread question leak.

Police detained several protesters and used tear gas and batons to disperse the crowds.
