Early on Sunday, July 19, Russian ballistic missiles struck Ukraine's capital Kyiv and the surrounding region, killing at least one person and injuring nine others in the city, officials said.
Footage captured powerful explosions following air force warnings.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that the strikes sparked widespread fires, damaging a dormitory, a residential block, a supermarket, office buildings and warehouses. In the wider Kyiv region, the military administration confirmed two additional injuries and further damage to warehouses.
