On July 19, a vehicle carrying five passengers, including three children, veered off the road in Zhangye City, northwest China's Gansu Province, trapping them inside.
Passersby spotted the overturned vehicle, which had come to rest on its side, and immediately rushed to help. A young man climbed onto the car door and pulled the trapped occupants out one by one with the assistance of others.
They then helped the police and emergency responders transport the injured passengers to the hospital.
The five only sustained minor injuries and have since been discharged from the hospital.
