Porcelain is fragile, the bond these young Chinese and Americans crafted is not

Porcelain may be fragile, but the bonds forged by young Chinese and Americans in Jingdezhen are built to last.

During the eight-day "Porcelain Capital Craftsmanship" China-US Youth Exchange Program in Jingdezhen, east China's Jiangxi Province, 148 students and teachers from China and the United States learned and created together in traditional ceramic studios. They explored wheel-throwing, clay sculpting, blue-and-white porcelain painting and Linglong porcelain making.

They also honed their entrepreneurial skills by selling their handcrafted ceramics at local markets and charity events, while exploring Jingdezhen's rich ceramic heritage and gaining hands-on experience in cross-cultural communication.
