Scaloni's World Cup dream ends in tears

A tearful Lionel Scaloni struggled to speak after Argentina's World Cup title defense ended in a bruising 1-0 extra-time defeat to Spain. Ferran Torres struck in the 106th minute, after Argentina had been reduced to 10 men following Enzo Fernández's late red card, and FIFA later opened a disciplinary investigation into a post-match brawl. Scaloni thanked his players and supporters, but said he needed time to think about his future. "A group like this is very difficult to recreate, and it hurts me. It hurts me deeply," he said through tears.
