What happens when young artists meet a 1,000-year-old masterpiece?
A group of 31 students from 15 US universities traveled to Dunhuang, a historic Silk Road city in northwest China, for an immersive cultural journey.
From learning the history and techniques behind the Dunhuang murals to recreating ancient artworks with their own hands, the students discovered the craftsmanship and artistic wisdom preserved for centuries.
Through brushes and colors, a new generation of young people is building connections across cultures.
