A cat was caught before it could complete an unusual delivery to a Russian prison, officials said. Prison staff in Nizhny Novgorod intercepted the animal outside Penal Colony No. 17 and found two homemade fabric collars containing prohibited substances. A detection dog later confirmed the presence of narcotics. After the collars were removed and officers made sure the cat was safe, it was released.
