US forces launched a fresh round of missile strikes against Iranian military targets on Thursday evening, marking the 13th consecutive night of attacks aimed at curbing threats to commercial shipping from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). According to the US Central Command (CENTCOM), the naval blockade resumed earlier this month has already led to the redirection of 12 commercial vessels and disabled another near Iranian ports.

The military campaign resulted in immediate casualties, with Iranian media reporting at least four people killed and five injured following strikes near the southwestern city of Ahvaz. Tensions are expected to surge further after US President Donald Trump indicated he is considering launching major combat operations larger than February's Operation Epic Fury, while warning that any maritime damages will be paid using seized Iranian assets. Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi strongly condemned the asset threat on Friday, warning that normalizing such confiscations sets an "incendiary precedent" that will lead to unmanageable global chaos.
