Daniel Mir Curós is an acupuncturist and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) teacher living in Spain. Fascinated by Chinese culture since childhood, he first encountered acupuncture as a patient. He later underwent training, gained the opportunity to study in China, and eventually earned a doctorate in acupuncture.
He said learning TCM changed the way he looks at life. In his view, Western medicine tends to divide things and study them individually in depth, whereas TCM recognizes the body as an integrated system. "TCM always tries to go into the root cause, not just treat the symptom," he noted.
Reflecting on his journey to China, he described it as a wonderful experience. He considers China a great nation with two distinct sides: the modern and the traditional. "And both coexisted harmoniously," he said.
