China's self-developed shield maintenance equipment finished massive underwater cutter replacement work on the Jintang Undersea Tunnel. The project set multiple global records under extreme high-pressure seabed conditions. Chinese engineers created a special mixed gas system to guarantee workers' safety during round-the-clock underwater operations.
