What does it take to build a world-leading scientific experiment? For Professor Wang Yifang, a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, it requires decades of exploration, innovation and collaboration. From the Daya Bay Reactor Neutrino Experiment to the Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO), China's neutrino research has been built through years of ideas, prototypes and construction. Wang also says breakthroughs in science depend on a strong ecosystem: great mentors, talent development and long-term support for basic research.
