China stands ready to work with Kyrgyzstan to strengthen the alignment of their development strategies, translate the important consensus reached by the two heads of state into more tangible outcomes and elevate the level of mutually beneficial cooperation, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Friday.

Wang, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, made the remarks while meeting with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov in Cholpon-Ata. Wang is currently on a visit to Kyrgyzstan.

Japarov said Kyrgyzstan cherishes its strategic partnership with China, which is based on mutual respect, equality, mutual benefit and good neighborliness.

Kyrgyzstan is willing to learn from China's experience in state governance, strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation in areas such as economy and trade, investment, agriculture and people-to-people exchanges, advance key projects such as the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, and provide a favorable business environment for Chinese enterprises in Kyrgyzstan to safeguard their legitimate rights and interests, he said.

The Kyrgyz side firmly supports China in safeguarding its core interests, said Japarov, adding that Kyrgyzstan has joined the World AI Cooperation Organization and the International Organization for Mediation, supporting the four global initiatives proposed by China through concrete actions.

Kyrgyzstan stands ready to further enhance communication and coordination with China within multilateral frameworks such as the United Nations and the China-Central Asia mechanism, aiming to promote regional and global peace and development, he added.

Wang said China, as a friendly neighbor and a close partner of Kyrgyzstan, will, as always, firmly support Kyrgyzstan's independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity and support Kyrgyzstan in pursuing a development path suited to its national conditions.

China is willing to expand people-to-people exchanges with Kyrgyzstan and consolidate the foundation of the China-Kyrgyzstan community with a shared future, he said.

Congratulating Kyrgyzstan on its election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council by a large majority, Wang said China looks forward to strengthening coordination and cooperation with Kyrgyzstan on UN affairs and supports Kyrgyzstan in successfully hosting the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Bishkek Summit to make greater contributions to promoting world peace, development and prosperity.

During the visit, Wang also held a meeting with his Kyrgyz counterpart Jeenbek Kulubaev and jointly attended the inauguration ceremony for the reopening of the Chinese Consulate General in Osh.
