What makes up Jingdezhen's World Heritage Site?

UNESCO announced on Saturday that China's Jingdezhen Handicraft Porcelain Industry Sites had been inscribed on the World Heritage List during the 48th session of the World Heritage Committee in Busan, Republic of Korea.

The newly inscribed World Heritage property consists of five component parts, encompassing 15 groups of heritage elements and 45 individual heritage sites. Together, from porcelain clay mines and firewood production areas to workshops, kiln sites and transport networks, they preserve a complete handicraft porcelain production system that shaped ceramic production and cultural exchange around the world.
