A flash flood triggered by a short burst of heavy rainfall hit Weiyuan County, Dingxi City, northwest China's Gansu Province, on the afternoon of July 26, according to local authorities.

As of 6 p.m. local time, the death toll stood at 10, with 23 others injured. The injured have been sent to hospital for medical treatment.
