For more than a millennium, porcelain has done more than define a craft – it has shaped an entire city. From the surrounding mountains and waterways to imperial kilns and generations of artisans, Jingdezhen has sustained a living ceramic production system that continues to thrive today. Here, tradition is not preserved behind glass, but lives on in workshops, markets and the hands of creators from around the world.

The Jingdezhen handicraft porcelain industry sites have now been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, recognizing Jingdezhen's extraordinary legacy and the story it tells of harmony between people and nature, tradition and innovation.
