Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Monday that China stands ready to further strengthen bilateral and multilateral strategic coordination with Brazil.

Speaking with Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva over the phone, Xi urged both sides to play a greater role in improving global governance and upholding international fairness and justice.

China and Brazil, Xi said, should also jointly promote high-quality development of greater BRICS cooperation.
