A pregnant woman suffering severe bleeding needed urgent hospital care as Typhoon Noul battered south China's Guangdong Province. But fallen trees had blocked the road.

Emergency crews in Huizhou raced to clear a path after receiving a distress call at 5:13 a.m. Firefighters removed fallen trees, an ambulance met the family's vehicle en route, and paramedics took over after the family's car suffered a flat tire. Firefighters continued clearing the road ahead, allowing the ambulance to reach the hospital without further delay.

The woman was safely admitted to the delivery room, thanks to the coordinated efforts of firefighters, paramedics and local emergency responders during one of the strongest typhoons to hit China's coast this year.
