As AI moves from just a chat box to full-fledged work agent, one would naturally ask: If I'm not tech-savvy, will I get abandoned by the future society?

In this conversation recorded at the World AI Conference in Shanghai earlier this month, CGTN sat down with Li Jingqiu, an product architect from Chinese internet giant Baidu, to find an answer.

She shared a story: two rural teachers in their fifties – with no technical training, coding experience or prior exposure to AI – built a working content selection system for their local reading initiative in under an hour. Their experience shows how accessible AI can level the playing field, enabling ordinary people to solve problems that once required expert knowledge.

But that same accessibility raises urgent questions. As current AI agents tend to execute tasks autonomously, how do we keep it safe and controllable?
