Chinese President Xi Jinping held talks with Slovak President Peter Pellegrini in Beijing on Tuesday. Xi said President Pellegrini's visit to China will inject new impetus into the continued development of China-Slovakia relations. "China stands ready to work with Slovakia to build a strategic partnership featuring mutual respect and trust, equality and mutual benefit, as well as stability and resilience, so as to deliver greater benefits to the two peoples," Xi said.

Pellegrini is in China for a state visit from July 27 to 29.
