An American tourist who accidentally left his laptop on a bench in Honghe, southwest China's Yunnan Province, recently returned to thank the police who helped keep it safe.

Three days after it was left behind, a local resident found the laptop and handed it to the police. The officers kept it secure until the owner came back to claim.

To show his appreciation, he visited the police station with a traditional Chinese thank-you banner.

Sometimes, the smallest acts of honesty and kindness leave the biggest impression.
