An American tourist who accidentally left his laptop on a bench in Honghe, southwest China's Yunnan Province, recently returned to thank the police who helped keep it safe.

Three days after it was left behind, a local found the laptop and handed it in. Officers kept it secure until the owner came back to claim it.

To show his appreciation, he visited the police station with a traditional Chinese thank-you banner.

Sometimes, the smallest acts of honesty and kindness leave the biggest impression.
