Two earthquakes above magnitude 5 struck off southern Philippines on July 29, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).
A magnitude-5.5 earthquake struck at 9:16 p.m. local time, followed by another quake of magnitude-5.3 at 9:23 p.m., PHIVOLCS said.
