Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Tuesday he and US President Donald Trump discussed the production of US-designed Patriot air defense systems in Ukraine and diplomatic efforts to end the Ukraine-Russia conflict during their meeting at the White House.

"The (US) President and I discussed licenses for Patriot interceptor production and several other ideas that could help," Zelenskyy wrote in a post on X after leaving the White House, describing the meeting as "good" and thanking the United States for its "firm support."

"We also spoke about diplomacy – it's important that the diplomatic process be reinvigorated," he added.

US-brokered peace talks aimed at ending the Ukraine-Russia conflict have stalled for months.

The White House held Trump's meeting with Zelenskyy behind closed doors, with no media access.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived at the White House later Tuesday, shortly after Zelensky's departure. Netanyahu's meeting with Trump was also closed to the press.
