No official response from Israel has been released about the complete disarmament deal announced by the US on Thursday.
Earlier in the day, US President Donald Trump announced on his Truth Social account that an agreement was reached on the complete disarmament of Hamas and other armed groups in Gaza.
According to Trump, Hamas has agreed to disarm in Gaza, while Israel remains silent.
Despite the lack of official response, reports by The Times of Israel, a prominent Israeli media, said that an Israeli official has expressed reservations about the agreement, saying that the 15-point proposal "does not adequately address" Israel's demands for the "complete demilitarization, [which is] a precondition for any process."
"There will be no IDF withdrawal from the Yellow Line in the Gaza Strip before Hamas is disarmed and the Strip is fully demilitarized," the Israeli official added.
A US official told the BBC that Trump would be "very disappointed" if Israel decides not to withdraw from Gaza.
