Bandier Blue Lake on the Pamir Plateau is now at peak water-filling season, with glacial melt restoring its vivid sapphire color. The dry-season ring-shaped shorelines, however, still remain visible above the rising water. Together with the mountains behind, this half-blue, half-ringed wonder is drawing travelers to far-west Xinjiang.
