Hamas: 'A delegation from the Hamas leadership, headed by the Mujahid Zaher Jabarin, the movement's leader in the West Bank, met with the leadership of the Islamic Jihad Movement, headed by the Mujahid Ziad al-Nakhala, the movement's Secretary-General, in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.During the meeting, emphasis was placed on developing joint action and unified national positions, and exerting all efforts to protect the Palestinian people and restore their legitimate rights. The attendees stressed the necessity of compelling the Israeli forces to cease all forms of aggression, killing, and assassinations, to withdraw completely from the Gaza Strip, to begin early recovery measures, and to allow the entry of all the citizens' needs. They called for the immediate entry of the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza and for it to assume its responsibilities immediately towards the citizens.'
