To the beat of lively music and in a burst of colourful traditional costumes, young performers from ethnic minority groups in China's Taiwan region appeared this July at iconic Shanghai landmarks — including the Bund and the ancient water town of Zhujiajiao — with surprise dance performances. Even a sudden summer downpour couldn't extinguish their passion. They were among more than 500 young people who visited Shanghai for a cultural exchange during the summer vacation.
