The inaugural China Media Group (CMG) Robot Challenge Penalty Shootout kicked off Saturday in Yongzhou City, central China's Hunan Province, drawing more than 1,000 spectators to watch intelligent robots face off against human goalkeepers. Robots executed shots on goal while participants tried to block them, with contests divided into adult and youth categories to let players of different skill levels test the machines' power and accuracy.
