Eyewitness footage shot on Saturday showed a smoke-filled sky in Spokane, Washington, as wildfires burning across more than 100,000 hectares in the state prompted widespread evacuations and power outages, according to officials.

Governor Bob Ferguson declared a statewide emergency and burn ban on Saturday morning. No injuries or fatalities related to the fires had been reported as of Saturday, officials said.
