By integrating ecological restoration with mangrove aquaculture, the region has built healthy wetlands and enhanced biodiversity. Mangrove forests help maintain clean water quality, supporting the protection of key habitats for the critically endangered Chinese white dolphin. By combining blue-carbon conservation, ecological restoration, green fisheries and technology, Zhanjiang is promoting sustainable development and setting an example for coastal wetland management.
