Japan's latest Defense White Paper continues to describe China as its "greatest strategic challenge" while introducing new priorities for military development, including offensive strike capabilities and the application of AI and unmanned systems.  

Chinese analyst Xu Yongzhi told CGTN that the document reflects Japan's broader security policy adjustment and lays the groundwork for the revision of its key security documents later this year.
