Looking for a new way to experience Chinese culture? Visitors to a Dunhuang-themed exhibition at the Guangzhou Museum of Art in south China's Guangdong Province are getting an unexpected surprise.

Dressed as Nanfang Zengzhang Tianwang, or the Southern Growth Heavenly King, one of the Four Heavenly Kings, guardian figures in Buddhist tradition, a staff member interacts with visitors in multiple languages, offering blessings and warm greetings.

His remarkably lifelike performance has gone viral online, with many viewers saying they initially thought he was AI-generated. The interactive experience is giving centuries-old Dunhuang art a fresh appeal for today's audiences.
