An explosive device planted in a minibus taxi detonated in Jaramana, a suburb of Damascus, on August 6, wounding 14 people, three of them critically.

Syrian authorities initially reported two deaths but later corrected the toll after determining that body parts found at the scene belonged to surviving victims undergoing treatment.

A little-known group calling itself Minbar Ansar al-Rasoul claimed responsibility. No arrests have been announced, and authorities are continuing to investigate the attack, the third bombing in the area in just over a month.
