Visiting heads of state and government are increasingly inspecting China's EV industry and taking test drives themselves. Executive Secretary of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change Simon Stiell notes that this is the best way to promote a new technology. He also stresses that the current energy crisis has laid bare global dependence on fossil fuels, driving the EV industry forward at both the government policy and consumer levels.
