Female scientists no longer have to be "10 times better than the men" to advance, shared UCLA Distinguished Professor Juli Feigon at the 2026 Women Scientists Forum. Over four decades after she began her career in 1985, she sees change, not only in the growing presence of women in science but also in young men who are increasingly used to working with women and having women as their bosses. For Feigon, women scientists are "not just being role models for girls but being role models for boys."
