One firefighter has died after a vessel caught fire at a shipyard in east China's Fujian Province on Thursday, local authorities said.
The fire broke out around 1:09 p.m. at Century Huahai (Fujian) Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. in Fu'an City's Gantang Township.
According to preliminary figures, 12 people, including 10 firefighters, were injured and had been taken to hospital. One firefighter has died despite rescue efforts.
The fire has since been brought under control. An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
