A youth soccer team from a Californian city flew to NW China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region for two friendlies on August 8 and 9.

The US side, from Pico Rivera, took on teams from Urumqi and Tacheng, trading goals on the pitch and jerseys off it. 

When the final whistle blew, nobody wanted to leave.
