Yuxian County in Zhangjiakou, north China's Hebei Province is home to numerous national-level cultural heritage sites. The Yuhuang Pavilion, constructed in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), once served as a frontier defense structure and later served as an architectural reference for the hit game Black Myth: Wukong. Meanwhile, Yuxian paper-cutting, which originated as window decorations for rural homes, has evolved for over a century into a distinctive form of cultural expression that has reached audiences around the world.

CGTN host Julian Waghann and Mexican traveler Juan Carlos Cheang Guzman toured Yuxian, discovering the stories behind its ancient architecture and learning the art of paper-cutting.
